General

Carlon is one of the male members of Cha Faile, the society of Cairhienin and Tairens imitating the Aiel who have pledged themselves to Faile Bashere (WH, Ch. 6).

Carlon is a Tairen. He is long-nosed. Perrin thinks to himself that with his narrow chin, Carlon must regret having shaved his Tairen beard off (WH, Ch. 6). He has a habit of fingering his chin as if wondering where his beard is and running his hand over his hair, but gives no other sign of giving up his pretense of being Aiel (KoD, Ch. 12).

Timeline

  • Carlon is one of the members of Cha Faile that accompanies Perrin and Faile to Ghealdan (WH, Ch. 6).
  • Selande and the rest of the members of Cha Faile confront Perrin about how they are being refused their horses (WH, Ch. 6).
  • When Selande agrees that Cha Faile will follow Perrin's orders until Faile is found, Carlon grunts in protest, but he shuts his mouth when Selande raises a finger (WH, Ch. 6).
