Miridyth and Oryn's 2nd Bonding Anniversary: October 10, 2009

Miridyth

1) Why Oryn?

Oryn and I met on chat. He was there for me while I was battling cancer. He became my "rock" and was never too busy to answer my questions about life, after life, etc. I finally asked him to bond and he accepted :).

2) What keeps your bond working through the years?

One of the things both Oryn and I discussed was that we are married to other people in real life, raising kids, etc. While our bond is important, our real life is kinda more important. We are there for each other on the boards, we are there for each other if a major incident occurs, but we are not in each others pockets. We can go months without "talking" or pming...but I know he is there for me and He knows I am there for him...all we have to do is sent out that "batman signal" and we will respond.

3) What challenges do you face as a bonded couple and how do you overcome them?

I don't see any real challenges as we hashed out everything before we bonded. What we expected, what we wanted and didn't want. I honestly have never had a conflict with Oryn that I know of...other than being at opposite ends of a CE discussion ;).

4) What does it mean to you to be (and stay) bonded?

It means I have a great male friend here on the boards that if ever I had a "real" issue that I could pm or call and he would lend an ear and vice versa....but I am the female friend  :o ...I think we "stay" bonded because we are not expecting the other person to be more than they are and do not lean on them for everything...we have spouses for that.

5) How do you like being a DM Sedai?

I love DM. I honestly would bond another DM in a heartbeat. I love their company. They treat me and the other Sedai's like we are a part of their company and I hope that we treat them the same in our Ajah. I have only rarely gotten the odd reply in a thread and that is usually from a "guest" and I have always been backed up by DM Gaidin and Younglings. Just a great group of men who honestly care about each other and the women who share their forum.

Lireina & Aliyenah's 4th Bonding Anniversary: October 21, 2009

Aliyenah:

1) Why Lireina?

She was the first one I truly connected with on this site. We can talk about anything, thru good and bad times.

2) What keeps your bond working through the years?

Understanding and a deep respect for eachother. We've always seem to work things out in a great way.

3) What challenges do you face as a bonded couple and how do you overcome them?

I was "lost" for almost 2 years. Still we've managed to work it out. She is an amazing friend and bondmate. We never gave up :)

4) What does it mean to you to be (and stay) bonded?

It's a true test of friendship and great way of displaying for everyone, how you can live on two different places in the world, and still be the best of friends.

5) How do you like being a Green warder?

It's great. It's like a great big family :)

Ne'Mireth & Jaim's 4th Bonding Anniversary: October 26, 2009

Ne'Mireth:

1) Why Jaim?

You know how you meet a person, and you just know that there is not one bad bone in their body. That you've just met possibly the kindest, biggest hearted, funny as hell, liked by everybody all around GOOD GUY? Well, I didn't until I met Jim. Jim was... great. Like, always there for me, always ready with a good joke, a good open and honest word, or a helping hand. Even before we became good friends. And he was like the coolest person ever. Even when he was an ugly novice. All these women followed him around in hordes - I had to beat them off with a stick to bond him.

2) What keeps your bond working through the years?

We grew. We married (not each other, other tower people ) We both have kids. We live .5 hour away from each other. Our families do things together. We grow older and wiser together. Jim trusts me to be strong, and is smart enough to stay out of my way when I'm having one of my "green locomotive moments". And sometimes, I think, he knows through the bond, if you will, when I need to hear something - a distraction, or a "love you honey"... He is an amazing friend and the best warder in the Tower. Erm... I'm not sure why he keeps me around. I think he knows that I love him with every capable fiber of my Greenness. I think, also, we both took our oath seriously. So, this is the case of "until death" well... something really cheesy like that at any rate.

The point is, I love that man. And he is my warder. So, while other people may have gotten murdered for things, Jim has no faults. Nuff said.

3) What challenges do you face as a bonded couple and how do you overcome them?

Life. It happens, it makes people busy. Things in life happen that are not easy to talk about. Sometimes especially with your bondmate. We are not the best "communicators" Jim and I. it's a good thing most times. We give each other plenty of space and plenty of love, when love is needed. Sometimes, though, I am not sure if I know how to properly be there for him.

Being married, it's also different. Your spouse is, ultimately, your best friend and your first line of support. So, sometime our bond is not like the books have ordered. But I'm proud of it.

4) What does it mean to you to be (and stay) bonded?

For me, given some rough history i've been through, it's most important to have a friend who is a guy and he's always going to stay my guy friend. I can count on that. I can count on him. For anything, so that's very important to me.

From my side - my undying loyalty and love. That's all I really have to offer. But he has that.
