It has been twenty-one days since Faile was taken. In that time, the Shaido have gained a lead because of a mistaken trail, but no longer. Selande makes a report on [[Masema]]'s camp. [[The Prophet]] of the Dragon is following Perrin. Selande tells Perrin that [[Masuri]] Sedai is visiting Masema in the night. Balwer thinks that Masema is making deals with [[Whitecloaks]]. The [[Two Rivers]] men in the camp are angry at Perrin. The cause of this is not explained. The camp begins readying to move on.
