Darmovan was one of the nations of the Free Era. To the west was the Aryth Ocean, with Abayan to the north, Oman Dahar and Farashelle to the east, Dhowlan to the southeast and Elan Dapor to the south. Eventually, this area became Arad Doman and Almoth Plain.
In FY 939, Guaire Amalasan first proclaimed himself the Dragon Reborn in Darmovan. Within half a year, Darmovan was his. Around this same time, the Black Fever epidemic was just reaching Darmovan, and this most likely contributed to Amalasan's rise to power.
By FY 963, Darmovan had fallen to Hawkwing.
