Department of Outreach (History)
General
The Department of Outreach was created in early 2022 when the Department of Community Outreach was split into two separate departments. The Servant of All Coordinator and the Servant of All Team were transferred into Outreach.
2022
The Department was established in early March, with Faeril Munlear as its first Director.
- Blood Drive
In 2022 13 donations were reported from January until December by six unique donors for a total of eight pints of blood and five platelet donations. Donations were made in the United States, Canada, and Sweden.
- Maintaining the Tower Fundraiser
The site fundraiser ran from December 16, 2022 till January 15, 2023. The theme of this year's fundraiser was "A Wheel of Carols", where we took a look at our past, present, and future. Members were welcomed to share stories, or "carols", of memories long ago within our community, the fandom, and the Wheel of Time, while also celebrating our present and setting goals and resolutions for the new year.
- Robert Jordan Memorial Scholarship
The 2022 recipients of the Robert Jordan Memorial Scholarship were Carolina Costa D'Ávila and Lisa Frost. Their winning essays can be found at Annual Robert Jordan Memorial Scholarship.
2023
In March a TarValon.Net Patreon was launched, offering three tiers of membership with various perks.
In June, Lilli O'Neeus stepped down as Servant of All Coordinator, and was replaced by Nebka Galyn.
In December, Faeril Munlear stepped down as Director.
2023
In January, Nebka Galyn stepped down as Servant of All Coordinator. She was replaced nearly a month later by Arinna Katal.
