General
Desaine was a Wise One of the Shaido Aiel. She had waist-length gray hair and a leathery face (LoC, Prologue).
Timeline
- She voted against Sevanna being Wise One, since she had never served as apprentice and had not visited Rhuidean (LoC, Prologue).
- She, Sevanna, and Therava met with Coiren and the rest of the White Tower delegation (LoC, Prologue).
- She was killed by the Shaido Wise Ones loyal to Sevanna (LoC, Ch. 53).
- Sevanna used Desaine's death as a pretext to blame the Aes Sedai and attack them (ACoS, Prologue).
Relationships
She believed Sevanna was no good choice for being Wise One and that she carried bad luck, since two of her husbands had died (LoC, Prologue). This was the reason that eventually led Sevanna to having her murdered (LoC, Ch. 53).
She sees no use in Rand and thinks it better to kill him, before he is taken to the White Tower (LoC, Prologue).
