Director of Moderation

Overview

Director of Moderation is an Executive level position. The goal of this position isto administrate and lead the Department of Moderation.

Rotation: Non-rotating position

Merit Eligibility: Executive Merit

The Director of Moderation reports directly to the Keeper.

The Moderators, Chair of Rebuke and Seat of Pardon all report to the Director of Moderation.

Collaborate with the Keeper, Amyrlin, and Cordamora to establish new Department structures moving forward
Will review to-be-developed structures and adapt them as needed to improve the department
Handle and approve hiring for all roles within the department
Ultimately determine the appropriate consequences for actions that occur on official community platforms
Will keep and maintain records of all issues and actions brought to the department
Collaborate with other Directors to ensure effective community operations

Be a community member with at minimum one year in good standing
Must have moderation experience, or some sort of equivalent experience that closely aligns
Must be organized and able to work within the TarValon.Net administrative structure effectively
Must attend quarterly Executive meetings

Be willing and able to spend 15 hours a week handling department issues; more time will be required initially as we are bringing back this department and will need to collaborate to establish the structure
