Elsie is a woman who works in Aedmun Matherin's manor in Andor.
She is four or five years older than Elayne. She is dark-haired, dark-eyed, tall, and has a plump bosom. She seems horrified at the idea of calling Elayne anything other than "Majesty", and regards Elayne in a "goggle-eyed" manner.
When Elayne stays the night at the Matherin manor, Elsie is so painfully conscientious in folding Elayne's gown that Elayne almost does it herself.
Elsie sees Nelein Matherin's ghost and screams. Elayne tries to comfort her, but she is still frightened.
