Farashelle was one of the nations of the Free Era. It was located in the mid-western part of the Westlands. To the north were Oman Dahar and Masenashar, with Dal Calain to the northeast, Aldeshar to the east, Shiota to the south, Dhowlan to the southeast and Darmovan to the northwest. It's northern and eastern borders were marked by the Manetherendrelle and it's eastern border by the Mountains of Mist to the south, Garen's Wall marked it from Dhowlan. Eventually, this area of land became what is now western Andor and northern Altara.

By FY 943, Guaire Amalasan had conquered Farashelle, among other nations.

By FY 963, Farashelle had fallen to Hawkwing.

Sometime before the War of the Second Dragon (it is unsure exactly when), Farashelle and Dhowlan fought many wars against each other.
