Gamel Loune is a Seanchan Banner-General of the Ever Victorious Army and the commander of a camp in Altara. He is tall, hard and lean with the top of his right ear missing and flecks of white in his tight black curls. He is from Dalenshar.

When Karede enters his tent, he sends the other officers away to talk to him. His manservant Mantual serves him kaf and leaves again. After that he reluctantly tells Karede about the difficulties they have been having with attacks over the last week.

He hopes everything will work out differently once General Chisen takes over with his army.
