General

Jarra is a village in Ghealdan, just north of the border with Amadicia a couple of days ride from the Mountains of Mist. It is a small town with few streets, mostly muddy and narrow with gray stone houses with slate roofs and one known inn, Harilin's Leap. The town is built on a hill above a small stream. Due to its proximity to Amadicia, the people there are wary of Whitecloaks, who often pass through as though the border is not there. Most people in Jarra have never been more than twenty miles from the town.

Rand went though Jarra on his way to Tear, and as a result of the people there being caught up in his ta'veren effect, there was a spate of weddings and several desertions and disagreements among a group of Whitecloaks who happened to be in the town.
