Jerid Najima was the baby son of Josef and Jurine Najima. His sisters were Colar and Eselle. He was born safe near Dragonmount at the end of the Aiel War.
His was one of the names in Moiraine's small notebook of possibilities for the Dragon Reborn, so she visited his family to get to know more about him, just to learn that he, his two brothers and his father died in a burning stable.
