Kostelle is an Altaran merchant from the town of Maderin. He is round faced with multiple chins and is not particularly friendly; he would likely not have diced with Mat except that Mistress Alstaing was keen on it. Mat thinks him not particularly honest and that he and Camrin were looking to get Mistress Alstaing drunk and sell her shoddy goods at a high price. While losing money, he takes it well, and is happy when he wins most of it back.
