Maglin Madwen

Maglin Madwen owns the inn The Nine Rings in Tremonsien, Cairhien, where Rand, Loial, Hurin and Selene/Lanfear stay on their way to the city of Cairhien. She is originally from Lugard, not Cairhien. The inn was previously owned by her husband, Barin, until he died; he willed the inn to her and all of his money to his brother (TGH, Ch. 21).

Maglin sees to the travelers' needs and even gets Rand to play his flute in the common room. When Rand prepares to leave the following morning, Maglin hands him a note from Selene/Lanfear, informing him that she has left (TGH, Ch. 21).

Later, Barmellin is delivering a cartful of plum brandy to Maglin's inn (he notes that she is tight with her silver) when he sees the glow of the Choedan Kal that Rand is using to cleanse the male half of the Power (WH, Ch. 35).
