Mendao was a Shienaran soldier.
He was one of the men who were sent forth to bring back the Horn of Valere (TGH, Ch. 9) and who was sent by Moiraine to meet someone in Jehannah (TDR, Ch. 6), even though he was not mentioned at the time.
Uno tells Nynaeve that Mendao was killed in a duel with three Hunters for the Horn.
