My name is Noelle. I'm 23 years old, and I've been a member of the Tower since 2001. I've done a number of administrative things for the site, including HoA and Sitter for the Browns (not at the same time). I can't even begin to describe how much I've loved being a Brown, and how comfortable I've felt here, even when I poke my head in and don't recognize some of the "new" Aes Sedai. I love to read, I LOVE to research, and I love to spend all week at work making buttons that do cool things in excel.

I graduated with my BA in Psychology in June 2008 and I'm currently working writing processes, database administrating, and creating custom reports for a call center company. I'm working with my second of two client businesses since I started in July. I essentially have an IT job in a non IT department, so they all think I'm even more fabulous than I really am cause they don't know any better.

I play video games on a regular basis. I was the President of the gaming club for two years in college, which included rewriting the constitution and setting up a general election process cause the whole club was stagnating. It's doing much better now, even if I do say so myself. I'm planning to recruit for a D&D campaign in my area to start in late April or May. errr.. when I get around to it. I'm also waiting on the edge of my seat for Star Wars: The Old Republic. I am an incurable Star Wars fan... even the prequels didn't cure me.

I'm currently living in a suburb of Kansas City, KS. I'm from the Chicago area originally, and I miss it. The cost of living is relatively low and it's a short commute to work, so I guess I can't complain too much.

I got married on March 28, 2009. Planning it was a huge pain in the butt. I was in KS, wedding was in Chicago, my mom in Chicago (not very involved in the planning), maid of honor in Atlanta, GA, bridesmaids in Minnesota and central IL. The only people in KS with me were my in-laws (mother and sister). They were very excited, but didn't really know me well enough to be trusted with major shopping runs or anything. It all turned out well, though. The wedding was fabulous; I loved every moment. Someone commented they weren't sure if I was going to break out into giggles during the vows, I sounded so happy.

I have a ginger cat named Amber. (I've been waiting forever to get a cat.. my dad is allergic so I had to wait till I had my own place.) And I posted photos of her (and my husband) here: http://picasaweb.google.com/NoelleB The 3 of us live in a 2 bedroom apartment and it wouldn't be so bad if they would clean up after themselves.

I think that it boiled down to me thinking of Blue, Brown, and White.. more or less in that order. (People will tell you I have a green stripe too, but I can't say I seriously considered actually being Green...) But Blue was a little big and White was a little small. I clicked more with Brown and people who talked with me on the boards saw me as Brown. Mother once (I'd been Aes Sedai for years at that point) jokingly introduced me to someone as "Verrin Sedai".

And I haven't really answered the question as you phrased it.. I tried to sort of go over why I'm not each individual Ajah, but I'm having trouble with a definition for each of them that doesn't just speak to stereotypes. Humans use stereotypes to simplify life into manageable groupings, but I respect my sisters too much to peg them into stereotypes... even where they won't see. I don't want to say "I'm not Yellow because I don't want to help people with their problems unless I like them or find them interesting..." when I know that some Yellows might say the same.

I agree with Rijomu too, that the Brown Ajah has not stayed static over the years. I'm not just talking about the obvious cheese and tiki phases. The group is the sum of its parts, and our identity amongst ourselves and as it is perceived by the rest of the site shifts with our membership. Did you know Browns used to dominate chat? At almost any time of day there were at least 2-3 of us in there. (This is when 10 people in chat was huge.)

I was a Novice for a week and Accepted for 5 months (which was simply FOREVER at the time). I had quite a lot of fun, got in a bit of trouble, and invented a "question ter'angreal" with Jorryn Sedai. It was a ter'angreal that caused everyone in its vicinity to ask lots and lots of questions.
