General
Nerim is a skinny, grey-haired. pale Cairhienin man, short even by their standards, with a long face. He is Talmanes' manservant (LoC, Ch. 5). He has a dour tone to his voice and an almost constant mournful expression (LoC, Ch. 5; Ch. 47; ACoS, Ch. 28).
Timeline
- He attends Mat after the Aiel attack on the camp (LoC, Ch. 22).
- He Travels with the Band to Salidar (LoC, Ch. 38).
- Talmanes insists he go with Mat to Ebou Dar (LoC, Ch. 44).
- He moves into the Tarasin Palace with Mat and the others (ACoS, Ch. 28).
- When he leaves Ebou Dar, Mat sends Nerim ahead (WH, Ch. 30).
- Although not mentioned by name, he is most likely with the Band during the final confrontation with the Seanchan in "Knife of Dreams" (KoD, Ch. 37).
Miscellaneous
- He is very competitive with Lopin over who can serve their master best (LoC, Ch. 47).
- He is handy with a needle and often sews up Mat's wounds (WH, Ch. 30).
- When with Mat, he frequently comments on how badly Talmanes must be doing without him (KoD, Ch. 8).
