General
One of the first Merit Badges introduced in March 2011. It falls under the "Administrative Service" category.
- Members earn a silver merit after serving as an Officer for one year (or 12 months).
- A gold merit is awarded after serving as an Officer for two or more years (or 24 months); a second gold is awarded after serving four years (48 months), and a third after six years (72 months).
- When it comes time to receive a fourth gold merit, a member is awarded a platinum merit instead of a fourth gold, and this is considered the highest level of this merit.
The platinum merit was first introduced after the Winter 2023 Executive Meeting and the first platinum Officer merit was awarded in April 2023.
