General
Raefar Kisman was an Asha'man from Tear. He was pale for a Tairen and only of average height (WH, Ch. 22), was younger than Rand (LoC, Ch. 42) and was one of Taim's favourites. He tracked Rand to Far Madding, where he was killed by Padan Fain. He was a Darkfriend (WH, Ch. 22).
Timeline
- Along with Rochaid, he is ordered to carry away Torval, whom Taim has knocked out (LoC, Ch. 42).
- After Rand chooses Dashiva to stay with him after Dumai's Wells, Taim stalks away, calling for Gedwyn, Rochaid, Torval and Kisman (ACoS, Ch. 2).
- After the attack on the Sun Palace, he deserts (TPoD, Ch. 29).
- His name is placed on the deserter's list, to the surprise of Genhald (WH, Prologue).
- Moridin, Taim and Demandred all tell him to kill Rand, whom he tracks to Far Madding (WH, Ch. 22).
- After accidentally killing Rochaid, he flees Rand to his lodgings, where he is killed by Fain (WH, Ch. 22).
Relationships
He got on well enough with Rochaid that Rochaid could talk him into abandoning their plan for Rand, but was angry at him for this (WH, Ch. 22).
He was loyal to Taim above Rand and was considered one of Taim's favourites (WH, Prologue).
Miscellaneous
- Rochaid talked him into going to Far Madding ahead of the others, something he regretted (WH, Ch. 22.
- He was ambitious and wanted to rule Tear (WH, Ch. 22).
- He was strong enough to make a gateway, but weaker than Flinn (TPoD, Ch. 22).
Quotes
"But Gedwyn and Torval, they are the M'Hael's men. Rochaid and Kisman, too. Why would they desert? He gave them anything a king could want." (Genhald to Logain; Winter's Heart, Prologue)
"They'll take us both," Kisman breathed, sounding frantic. "If they find us standing over a corpse, they'll hang us both! You know they will!" (Kisman to Rand after Rochaid is killed in Far Madding; Winter's Heart, Chapter 22)
