Red is a horse that Rand rides. He is a tall bay, almost red in colour, but not as feisty as Cloud. Basel Gill lends him to the group as they leave the The Queen's Blessing (TEotW, Ch. 44). He rides the horse out of Fal Dara (TGH, Ch. 9), through to Falme where he is riding Red when Ba'alzamon appears, which startles Red enough to throw Rand from his saddle (TGH, Ch. 47), where he is presumably left after Rand goes to Tear .
