Swallow is Faile's horse, a glossy black mare of Tairen stock with slender ankles and an arched neck. Perrin considered her a prancer with the look of speed and endurance. She purchased him soon after arriving in the Stone (TSR, Ch. 18). she is tall enough to look Tam and Abell in the eye (TSR, Ch. 32).
