Silviana beats Egwene in the morning. In the evening, she goes to serve Elaida and finds Meidani there. Elaida annoys Egwene by taunting Meidani, and suggesting that [[Aes Sedai]] should swear a fourth oath, one of obedience. When she gets the chance, she tells Meidani to send for her, reminding her that '''she''' is her [[Amyrlin]] and that her work is appreciated. Eventually, Egwene gets so angry she drops the soup she is serving, causing Elaida to send her to Silviana for a further beating. Silviana beats Egwene in the morning. In the evening, she goes to serve Elaida and finds Meidani there.
