The Golden Stag is the second best inn in Maerone, in Cairhien, located close to the center of town. Inside, it has polished tables and benches with rose-carved legs throughout the high beamed ceiling common room. The plaster walls have blue-and gold scrollwork and the fireplaces were well-dressed stone, their hearths decorated with a few evergreen branches, a stag chiseled above each lintel.
