Once upon a time, when the boards were very, very young, a group of Tower members used to cause all sorts of trouble. Now, you wouldn't know it these days, since all of these trouble-makers now hold respectable Tower positions (ahem, Jaim, Kyla, Ne'Mireth, Aloren, Tree...so on). But, back in the days when they were citizens, they were very naughty and they played that one famous game of Truth or Dare. The one that changed the TorD world on the boards forever. Here is how it went....

My younger near-brother Myridin asked me to dare him. So I did...

I dared him to post in "Ask the Aes Sedai" as a teenage girl who just started her period and wanted some advice.

Oh, how we laughed.... Myr was SO UNCOMFORTABLE. It was hilarious!....

...Up until the time that everyone in our kind and welcoming community took it very seriously and with genuine concern gave good and heart felt advice on how to ease those menstrual cramps and feel good about being a young woman... And we felt like stupid little children who went way too far.

So, that's when we felt very guilty and came in to turn ourselves in and tell people it was just a silly dare.

Naaaaturally, people were NOT PLEASED. So, we got into A LOT of trouble. And TorD got a whole bunch of rules thrown on it to prevent it from happening again. It all must be contained in one thread, has age limitations and "If a game of Truth or Dare is to be played in an official Tower chatroom, it must be in #wanderingwoman, and all members must be at least eighteen years of age."

Yeah, so that happened.

Sorry, younger generations. Enjoy the National Dare Day on 6/1 and play a good safe game of truth or dare for us.
