"Tower Initiate" is the collective term for members of TarValon.Net that have not reached the rank of Tower Sworn.
Unlike Tower Sworn, Tower Initates' continued membership of TarValon.Net is conditional on either their continued presence or, if they will be absent, on declaring an official leave of absence.
If a Tower Initiate is absent from the site without declaring a leave of absence, they may be removed in a Membership clean up. If a Novice, Recruit, Accepted, or Soldier returns to the site after being removed in a membership cleanup, they will start over at the rank of Citizen.
A Tower Initiate who is absent but declares an official leave of absence will retain their rank.
Prior to May 16, 2023, the term "Junior Member" was used in place of Tower Initiate.
