Summary

Aviendha's Point of View:

Characters: Aviendha, Graendal

Aviendha tries to crawl towards her gateway as Graendal tries to shield her. She starts to unweave the gateway as Graendal begins to weave compulsion. She picks the wrong thread and the gateway explodes

Padan Fain's Point of View:

Setting: Shayol Ghul

Characters: Fain, Mat

Fain, thinking of himself as Shaisam moves towards Rand. He stops, as a piece of him of the mists, has stopped sensing. He comes across what he believes to be a corpse, killed by the mists, but it reaches up and grabs him by the throat. Mat tells him he once heard that if you catch a disease and survive, you can't get it again. He drops the dagger and Mat grabs it, ramming it through his ribs. He dies

Perrin's Point of View:

Setting: Tel'aran'rhiod

Characters: Perrin, Gaul, Grady

Perrin leaves Mat and enters the Wolf Dream. He grabs Gaul and takes him to the Two Rivers camp at the Field of Merrilor. He leaves Gaul to be Healed and returns to Shayol Ghul, as he knows Rand still needs him

Rand's Point of View:

Setting: Shayol Ghul

Characters: Rand, Moridin

Moridin grabs Callandor and realises it is also a True Power sa'angreal. Rand tells him that to do so means death, but Moridin replied that he will have oblivion. Nynaeve and Moiraine exploit the flaw in callandor in the way that Min had worked out and take control of Moridin, before linking with Rand. With saidin, saidar and the True Power, Rand seizes the Dark One through the Bore, using the protection of the True Power to prevent saidin from being tainted again. The Dark One tries to turn off access to the True Power but there is too much of it and he is unable. Light explodes from Rand

Notes

Visions and Prophecies

A glowing sword, Callandor, being gripped by a black hand. She gasped. What did you see? Rand asked softly. Callandor, held in a fist. The hand looks to be made of onyx (ToM, Ch. 51)

The black/onyx hand could refer to the True Power

He shall hold a blade of light in his hands, and the three shall be one (TGS, Ch. 48)

This was probably in reference to the three powers, saidin, saidar and the True Power being combined.
