Prologue
  1. p.14: Pedron Niall thinks about how it has been more than three thousand years since the War of the Shadow and the end of the Age of Legends.
  2. p.15: Niall thinks about how Lews Therin Telamon began the Breaking of the World, and how prophecy said that he would be reborn at some point.
  3. p.15-16: Niall thinks about how there has been no male Aes Sedai since the Breaking.
  4. p.24: Niall thinks about how Aes Sedai during the Age of Legends made a hole in the Dark One's prison and how Lews Therin and his Companions sealed it. He thinks about the Dark One's counter-stroke, the taint on saidin.
  5. p.25: Niall believes that one Aes Sedai from the Age of Legends was the equal of ten today. He believes that the seals will hold because of this.
Chapter 1
  1. p.41: The Dragon Banner waves over the camp of the Dragon Reborn as Perrin, the Shienarans and Leya approach it.
Chapter 4
  1. p.72: Perrin sees Callandor in his dreams.
Chapter 5
  1. p.86: Rand says that Lews Therin Kinslayer killed everyone who was close to him.
Chapter 6
  1. p.91: Moiraine talks about how dangerous the now-freed Forsaken are, very strong in the One Power, with all the knowledge of the Age of Legends.
  2. p.92: Perrin tells Moiraine about his dream of Callandor.
Chapter 9
  1. p.123: Moiraine talks about how she found a copied portion of a book from the Age of Legends that mentioned men who could talk with wolves, but the author didn't know very much about it. However, the author wrote about the wolfdream.
Chapter 12
  1. p.160: Verin gives the Horn of Valere to the Amyrlin.
Chapter 19
  1. p.215: When he awakens, Mat is confused, but remembers the Ways and the Portal Stones, slightly.
Chapter 21
  1. p.237: Verrin is studying a fragment of writing from the Age of Legends. The fragment speaks of Ba'alzamon and Ishamael.
  2. p.240: Verin tells Egwene about a World of Dreams, called Tel'aran'rhiod during the Age of Legends.
Chapter 27
  1. p.316: Egwene sees Callandor in the Heart of the Stone when she enters Tel'aran'rhiod.
Chapter 29
  1. p.337: Siuan tells Nynaeve that Callandor is a sa'angreal that only the true Dragon Reborn can take from the Heart of the Stone.
Chapter 38
  1. p.439: Aviendha tells Elayne and Egwene that it is believed that the Aiel served the Aes Sedai during the Age of Legends. Aviendha thinks that the Aiel must have failed the Aes Sedai and were sent to the Three-fold Land.
  2. p.439: Aviendha claims that Aes Sedai once wielded balefire, a weapon of some kind.
Chapter 39
  1. p.444-445: Elayne and Egwene talk about the Aiel War and Avendoraldera, a sapling of Avendesora given to Cairhien as a gift. Egwene wonders how the Aiel got an Avendesora sapling when the stories say it made no seed in the Age of Legends.
Chapter 48
  1. p.565: Ailhuin Guenna tells Nynaeve, Elayne and Egwene about a Tairen fisherman who found cuendillar dishes in the Fingers of the Dragon and became wealthy.
Chapter 50
  1. p.599: Moiraine tells Perrin that it is no longer known exactly how strong the Forsaken were in the One Power, only that Ishamael and Lanfear were the strongest.
  2. p.600: Loial tells Moiraine what he knows about Be'lal. Be'lal is mentioned "in the razing of the Hall of the Servants just before Lews Therin Kinslayer and the Hundred Companions sealed him up with the Dark One." Loial mentions that he read that Be'lal was called "the Envious" and that he envied Lews Therin (that's why he became a Darkfriend), plus Ishamael and Lanfear, too. He was also called "the Netweaver" and apparently boasted about beating Lews Therin at Stones. Be'lal was said to have (along with Sammael) fought against the Dark One before he became a Darkfriend himself.
Chapter 55
  1. p.649: Be'lal says to Rand that he once rode to war at Lews Therin's side.
  2. p.650: Be'lal says that Rand was a better swordsman when he was Lews Therin. Be'lal claims that swords was once a sport, but he and Lews Therin learned to use swords for killing, as they had read that men had done long ago.
Chapter 56
  1. p.667: The Dragon Banner waves above the Stone the morning after Rand takes Callandor and defeats Ba'alzamon.
  2. p.669: Moiraine shows Mat, Rhuarc and the girls that she found an intact seal (of the Dark One's prison) in the Stone.
