Previously, the archiving of Tar Valon Times blog posts had been a responsibility of the assistant to the Editor of the Tar Valon Times. However, with the start of the TarValon Talks podcast, and with the introduction of the idea that we might want to archive the podcast transcripts in the Library too, it was decided that a new position in the Department of Research and Records might be the best option of doing all the archiving.

The position was created in February 2023.
