General

Vitalien is the Warder of Sarene Nemdahl of the White Ajah, who writes poetry about him, though she would never admit it to him (LoC, Ch. 25). He is broad shouldered (TGS, Ch. 17).

He is left behind in Cairhien when Sarene goes to Far Madding with Cadsuane and Alanna in search of Rand (WH, Ch. 27). Vitalien, along with the Warders of Erian and Elza, track their Aes Sedai to Tear where they are hiding with Rand (CoT, Ch. 23). Sarene collects him again some time later and when Semirhage refuses to eat and knocks her plate to the floor, he watches ashen faced (TGS, Ch. 17). He is killed by Hessalam during the Last Battle (AMoL, Ch. 34)
