General
Aldin was a bookkeeper from Amadicia before he was taken gai'shain by the Shaido. He is tall and young with square shoulders and looks more like a soldier than a bookkeeper.
At first, he refuses to accept the fact that Arrela does not want to marry him.
After Alliandre, Arrela, Faile, Lacile, and Maighdin are rescued from Galina's trap, Aldin hands Arrela a waterbag and carries Maighdin when she collapses.
After Perrin defeats the Shaido, Aldin seems to accept that Arrela is not interested and starts to spend more time with Aravine (ToM, Ch. 34).
