I chose Gray because the sisters were all very down-to-earth and did not make me feel like an outsider. From the beginning they were all genuinely nice, thought to include me in conversations (I am terrible at jumping in), and my mentor was excellent. I had just finished Tigana and a friend of mine recommended WOT. I haven't stopped. When I finish the end, I start over.

  • Who is your favorite "hero"?

Probably Birgitte or Logain

  • Favorite bad guy/gal?

My favorite book is EOTW for pure nostalgia, but my favorite scene is Mat kicking butt against Gawyn and Galad.

  • If you were set down in Randland, who/what would you see yourself as? An Aes Sedai? Innkeeper? Seanchan Captain?

I would hope to be a Wise One of the Aiel.

I found TarValon.net during my first JordanCon. I stayed because I am a) an avid WOT reader and lover and b) I began making family/friends.

  • What do you do in "real life"?

I am a natruopath and editor for a magazine.

  • Do you have any hobbies?

Yes, I read, paint, sew, hike (when health permits), and help take care of our Japanese garden.
