General

Corele Hovian is Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah and is from Murandy (ACoS, Ch. 19). She is bonded to Damer Flinn, who is one of the few Asha'man with the Talent of Healing (WH, Ch. 23). While bonded to him, she attempts to reason out how to make what Flinn does with saidin be done with saidar, but this is almost futile (CoT, Ch. 23).

Corele is described as being as slim as a boy with wild-looking long, glossy black hair and bushy eyebrows, giving her an untamed appearance. She also wears a perpetually amused smile and has an upturned nose and blue eyes. She has been described as looking as if she were “always dressed for a country dance, with masses of embroidery on her sleeves and bodice and up the sides of her skirts” (ACoS, Ch. 19).

Timeline

• Corele arrives in Cairhien with Cadsuane Melaidhrin (ACoS, Ch. 19).

• She helps to Heal Rand, along with Samitsu and Damer Flinn, after he is stabbed with Fain’s Shadar Logoth blade (ACoS, Ch. 41).

• Corele Travels with Cadsuane and the others to Far Madding (WH, Ch. 23).

• She is one of the Aes Sedai with Rand and Nynaeve when they use the Choedan Kal. She also helps Heal the injured after the taint is cleansed (WH, Ch. 35).

• After Shadar Logoth, she goes with Cadsuane, Rand, and the rest to Lord Algarin’s manor on the outskirts of Tear (CoT, Ch. 23).

• Corele stops the interrogation of Semirhage to tell them Rand will be meeting the chiefs (TGS, Ch. 5).
• She encourages Nynaeve to spend time with Daigan to distract her from her grief (TGS, Ch. 7)
• Corele attends the meeting with Bael and Rhuarc (TGS, Ch. 7).
• Corele and Nesune are left weak after Semirhage's escape (TGS, Ch. 23).
• Corele believes they are wasting theat time in Bandar Eban and should move on (TGS, Ch. 32).
• She accompanies Rand to the meeting with Tuon (TGS, Ch. 35).
• Corele thinks Min's visions mean Rand will win (TGS, Ch. 44).
• Corele is with Cadsuane when Nynaeve tells her she knows where Perrin is (TGS, Ch. 44).
• Corele is present when Tam comes to tell Cadsuane off. (TGS, Ch. 48).
• She is close to Alanna's room when Alanna leaves to Stone of Tear but did not feel anything (ToM, Ch. 12).
• She is present when Rand returns (ToM, Ch. 13).

Relationships

It has also been suggested that there is more between Corele and Damer than just their bond, which is unusual for Yellows (CoT, Ch. 24).

Rand feels a temptation to trust her (TGS, Ch. 5)

She does not accept Nynaeve as a member of the Yellow (TGS, Ch. 32).

Strengths and Talents

As usual of the Yellow Ajah, Corele's strengths lie in Healing, and along with Samitsu and Nynaeve, she is one of the best (ACoS, Ch. 36).
