Alviarin Freidhan: The Head of the Black Ajah, Alviarin masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the White Ajah (ACoS, Prologue). Alviarin served as Keeper to Elaida until she was displaced during a long absence (CoT, Ch. 21). Currently, Alviarin is in the Tower serving penances ordered by Elaida (KoD, Ch. 24).

Amellia Arene: A rich merchant in Amador, she and her husband Jorin Arene are both Darkfriends. Liandrin takes over their house (TFoH, Ch. 18).

Amico Nagoyin: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Amico masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah (TDR, Ch. 13). Amico is captured by Egwene, Elayne and Nynaeve in the Stone of Tear; she is later murdered by Isam during a Shadowspawn attack on the Stone (TSR, Ch. 12; WH, Ch. 22).

Asne Zeramene: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Asne masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah (TDR, Ch. 13). While attempting to flee from Elayne in Caemlyn, Asne is killed by a bolt of lightning created by the Windfinders (KOD, Ch. 33).

Atuan Larisett: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Atuan masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah; Talene reveals her name under questioning (CoT, Prologue).

Barthanes Damodred: A Cairhienin Lord, Barthanes is the High Seat of House Damodred and cousin to Laman, the former king of Cairhien. He was second only to the king in power; after passing a message from Padan Fain to Rand, Barthanes is found in his bed ripped limb from limb (TGH, Ch. 30; TGH, Ch. 33; TGH, Ch. 34).

Berylla Naron: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Berylla masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah (TDR, Ch. 13). When Moghedien takes over Liandrin’s group of Black Ajah, she assigns Berylla an unknown task (TFoH, Ch. 18).

Careane Fransi: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Careane masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah (KoD, Ch. 31). Careane murders Adeleas and is later killed by Vandene in retribution when Marillin Gemalphin identifies Careane as Black Ajah (KoD, Ch. 31)

Changu: A Shienaran guard, Changu disappears from Fal Dara after the Horn is stolen; he is later found by Ingtar and Rand hanging from a tree, skinned alive (TGH, Ch. 9; TGH, Ch. 10).

Chesmal Emry: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Chesmal masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Yellow Ajah (TDR, Ch. 13). Chesmal is eventually captured by Elayne and the Windfinders in Caemlyn and is being held in the dungeon of the Royal Palace (KoD, Ch. 33).

Delana Mosalaine: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Delana masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah (LoC, Ch. 37). Under orders from Aran’gar, Delana works to spread discord among the Salidar Aes Sedai; Lelaine eventually figures out that Delana is Black Ajah but by the time she convinces the Hall to take her in for questioning, Delana has fled (KoD, Ch. 23).

Eldrith Jhondar: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Eldrith masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah (TDR, Ch. 13). Eldrith is eventually captured by Elayne and the Windfinders in Caemlyn and is being held in the dungeon of the Royal Palace (KoD, Ch. 33).

Elegar: A minor lord of Andor, Elegar is also a Darkfriend and meets with Rahvin (TFoH, Prologue).

Elza Penfell: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Elza masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah (CoT, Ch. 24). Elza swears fealty to Rand after being captured at Dumai’s Well and sets about ensuring that he makes it to the Last Battle alive (TPoD, Ch. 29; CoT, Ch. 24).

Falion Bhoda: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Falion masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the White Ajah (TDR, Ch. 13). Falion is eventually captured by Elayne and the Windfinders in Caemlyn and is being held in the dungeon of the Royal Palace (KoD, Ch. 33).

Fera: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Fera masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah (CoT, Ch. 24). She is captured by Asha’man at Dumai’s Well and is currently held by the Wise Ones in Cairhien (LoC, Ch. 55; CoT, Ch. 24).

Galina Casban: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Galina masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah (ACoS, Ch. 40). Galina is captured by the Shaido at Dumai’s Well and is forced to swear obedience to the Shaido Wise Ones on a binder (ACoS, Ch. 40; TPoD, Ch. 11). Galina is still a captive of the Shaido and is being taken back to the Aiel Waste (KoD, Ch. 30).

Hadnan Kadere: A Saldaean merchant and Darkfriend, Hadnan Kadere accompanies Lanfear and Asmodean across the Aiel Waste. (TSR, Ch. 36) After returning to Cairhien, Hadnan tells Lanfear that Rand is sleeping with Aviendha and in a rage she skins him alive (TFoH, Ch. 52).

Herid: One of Hadnan Kadere’s Darkfriends, Herid falls halfway through the red twisted doorframe in Rhuidean but is saved by Lan; he runs away during the trip back to Cairhien (TFoH, Ch. 2; TFoH, Ch. 52).

Howal Gode: A wealthy merchant from Whitebridge, Howal tries to capture Rand in Four Kings but is killed by the lightning Rand channels to break out of The Dancing Cartman inn (TEotW, Ch. 32; TEotW, Ch. 33).

Ingtar Shinowa: A Shienaran lord and warrior, Ingtar leads the hunt for the Horn of Valere after it is stolen from Fal Dara (TGH, Ch. 9). In Falme, Ingtar confesses to Rand that he is a Darkfriend and then gives his life so that Rand may escape (TGH, Ch. 46).

Isendre: A Darkfriend who accompanies Lanfear, Asmodean and Hadnan Kadere into the Aiel Waste; she attempts to seduce Rand but is unsuccessful (TSR, Ch. 37). Isendre is caught stealing and the Aiel punish her mercilessly; broken down, she tells Hadnan Kadere that Rand is sleeping with Aviendha and he kills her, chopping her up into pieces (TSR, Ch. 58; TFoH, Ch. 5; TFoH, Ch. 7; TFoH, Ch. 29).

Ispan Shefar: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Ispan masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah (TDR, Ch. 13). Captured by Nynaeve when she tries to get the Bowl of Winds, Ispan is put to the question and taken on the trip to Caemlyn; two days before reaching Caemlyn she is murdered by Careane Fransi (TPoD, Ch. 1; TPoD, Ch. 28; KoD, Ch. 31).

Jaichim Carridin: A high-ranking officer and Inquisitor in the Children of the Light, Jaichim is also a Darkfriend (TGH, Prologue). Jaichim is given several tasks by the Forsaken to carry out, but he fails them; he is executed by Mili Skane for his failures (TPoD, Ch. 28).

Jarna Malari: A former head of the Black Ajah, the now-deceased Jarna masqueraded as an Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah. She had former Amyrlin Seat Tamra Ospenya murdered during her search for information on the Dragon Reborn. When Ishamael found out that Jarna set the Black Ajah to finding and killing the Dragon Reborn, he killed her in a fit of rage (NS, Ch. 6; ACoS, Prologue).

Jeaine Caide: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Jeaine masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah (TDR, Ch. 13). When Moghedien takes over Liandrin’s group of Black Ajah, she assigns Jeaine an unknown task (TFoH, Ch. 18).

Joiya Byir: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Joiya masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah (TDR, Ch. 13). Joiya is captured by Egwene, Elayne and Nynaeve in the Stone of Tear; she is later murdered by Isam during a Shadowspawn attack on the Stone (TSR, Ch. 12; WH, Ch. 22).

Jorin Arene: A rich merchant in Amador, he and his wife Amellia Arene are both Darkfriends. Liandrin takes over their house (TFoH, Ch. 18).

Karale Sanghir: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Karale masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah. During questioning by Yukiri and Pevara, Atuan names Karale as Black Ajah (KoD, Prologue).

Katerine Alruddin: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Katerine masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah (LoC, Prologue). Captured at Dumai’s Well, Katerine manages to escape and make her way back to the White Tower (TPoD, Prologue). She is one of the Aes Sedai who captured Egwene at Southarbor (KoD, Prologue).

Liandrin: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Liandrin masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah (TGH, Ch. 40). Liandrin tricks Egwene, Nynaeve and Elayne into accompanying her to Falme, where she hands them over to Suroth so they can be collared as damane (TGH, Ch. 40). Later, when the Seanchan conquer Amador, Suroth takes Liandrin as her da’covale (TPoD, Ch. 24).

Madic: A high-ranking servant in the Tarasin Palace, Madic reports to Moridin that Elayne, Nynaeve, Aviendha and the Kin just left through a Gateway with the Bowl of Winds. In a fit of rage, Moridin chokes Madic to death (TPoD, Ch. 2).

Marillin Gemalphin: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Marillin masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah (TDR, Ch. 13). Marillin is eventually captured by Elayne and the Windfinders in Caemlyn and is being held in the dungeon of the Royal Palace. (KoD, Ch. 33).

Marris Thornhill: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Marris masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Brown Ajah. During questioning by Yukiri and Pevara, Atuan names Marris as Black Ajah (KoD, Prologue).

Melindhra: An Aiel Maiden of the Spear of the Jumai Shaido, Melindhra becomes Mat’s lover; when Mat tells her that he will be leaving for a while and mentions Caemlyn, she immediately attacks him and tries to kill him. Mat kills her instead and as she lies dying she reveals that she is a Darkfriend (TFoH, Ch. 51).

Merean Redhill: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Merean masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah (NS, Ch. 26). Moiraine kills her in the Aesdaishar Palace after she discovers that Merean has murdered Diryk, Brys and Iselle (NS, Ch. 26).

Mili Skane: Among her numerous exploits are an attempt on Rand’s life, murdering Jaichim Carridin and going to Caemlyn on Moridin’s orders and taking charge of Falion Bodha, Marillin Gemalphin and Daved Hanlon (TEotW, Ch. 33; TPoD, Ch. 28; WH, Ch. 10). Mili is eventually captured by Elayne and the Windfinders in Caemlyn and is being held in the dungeon of the Royal Palace (KoD, Ch. 33).

Nan Belman: A resident of Caemlyn and a Darkfriend, Padan Fain takes up residence in her house (LoC, Ch. 28).

Nidao: A Shienaran guard, Nidao disappears from Fal Dara after the Horn is stolen; he is later found by Ingtar and Rand hanging from a tree, skinned alive (TGH, Ch. 9; TGH, Ch. 10).

Old Cully: An Ebou Dari beggar and high level Darkfriend, Old Cully sends other Darkfriends, masquerading as beggars, to kill Mat (ACoS, Ch. 29).

Padan Fain: Formerly a peddler, Padan Fain was made into a hound by the Dark One to hunt the Dragon Reborn (TEotW, Ch. 47). His current whereabouts are unknown (WH, Ch. 33).

Paitr Conel: A Darkfriend from Market Sheran in Andor, Paitr tries to confront Rand and Mat on their way to Caemlyn (TEotW, Ch. 33). Later, he talks to Morgase in Amador and tells her that his Uncle Jen has plans for their escape; ultimately he is captured by the Whitecloaks and hanged (LoC, Prologue; LoC, Ch. 31).

Perwyn Belman: Padan Fain stays in Perwyn’s mother’s house in Caemlyn; when Perwyn reports to Fain that Rand was attacked in the city, Fain touches him and he goes mad (LoC, Ch. 28).

Powl: A Darkfriend and a Warder to Asne Zermane; after Asne is killed by the Windfinder’s lightning in Caemlyn, Powl goes mad and it takes two Guardsmen and flows of Air to restrain him (WH, Ch. 10; KoD, Ch. 32; KoD, Ch. 33).

Raimun Holdwin: The innkeeper of The Goose and Crown, Rand and Mat see him talking to a Myrdraal on their way to Caemlyn (TEotW, Ch. 34).

Rianna Andomeran: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Rianna masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the White Ajah (TDR, Ch. 13). When Moghedien takes over Liandrin’s group of Black Ajah, she assigns Rianna an unknown task (TFoH, Ch. 18).

Ryne Venamar: A Malkieri friend of Lan’s; Merean orders him to kill Bukama, which he does. He also tries to kill Lan, but Lan kills him instead (NS, Ch. 16; NS, Ch. 26).

Spar: Old Cully sends Spar and other Darkfriends, masquerading as beggars, to kill Mat (ACoS, Ch. 29).

Suroth Sabelle Meldarath: A Seanchan noblewoman, High Lady of Asinbayar and Barsabba, Suroth consolidates the defeated Seanchan forces on Cantorin after the Battle of Falme (TSR, Ch. 1). When Tuon finds out that Suroth has betrayed her, she makes Suroth da’covale and gives her to the Deathwatch Guard (KoD, Epilogue).

Talene Minly: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Talene masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah (WH, Prologue). Talene is among several Aes Sedai who follow Pevara and Seaine into the depths of the White Tower and discover them with the Oath Rod. Talene is exposed as Black Ajah when she refuses to re-swear the oaths (TPoD, Ch. 26). Talene receives an order to attend a meeting of the Black Ajah Supreme Council; frightened, she tells Pevara and then flees (KoD, Prologue). Temaile Kinderode: An Aes Sedai of the Black Ajah, Temaile masquerades as an Aes Sedai of the Gray Ajah (TDR, Ch. 13). Temaile is eventually captured by Elayne and the Windfinders in Caemlyn and is being held in the dungeon of the Royal Palace (KoD, Ch. 33).

Torwyn Barshaw: Uncle of Paitr Conel, Torwyn plans to free Morgase from the Whitecloaks, but he is captured and hanged (LoC, Ch. 31).
