Eianrod

Eianrod is a small town in Cairhien, between Taien and the capital, lying over a small river, with a wide flat bridge crossing it (TFoH, Ch. 30). Though it was in Couladin's path, it had been abandoned by then, after being burned in various battles between the houses contending the Sun Throne, before finally being held by brigands. The streets of the town meet at right angles, slicing through hills where necessary, that were otherwise terraced with stone. The buildings have an angular look, and are all slate roofed; many of them are two or even three stories.

Rand and his Aiel stop in the town and it is from here that Aviendha travels to Seanchan when he accidentally catches her fresh from her bath (TFoH, Ch. 31).
