She is eighteen, a year older than Nynaeve, but still wears her hair tied in a blue kerchief. She does not understand why the Women's Circle still thinks she is too young to braid her hair and frets a lot over it.
She is present at the annual sheep shearing when Egwene is nine, making a bad job of folding fleece.
When Egwene tries to soothe her by comparing her to Cilia Cole, who is twenty and also has her hair unbraided, she is abashed and angrily sends Egwene away.
Egwene dreams of running in cool spring meadow with her sisters, like they did when they were younger (ACoS, Ch. 10).
