Forum Focus: The Classroom

The Classroom can be found in the Library along with The Head Librarians Desk, Wheel of Time Book Discussions ,and Non-Wheel of Time Book Discussions. All of which are amazing forums and you should definitely go and check them out.

For this months Focus we are looking at the Classroom headed up by our very own Head Mistress here at TarValon.Net, Charis Sedai.

So what is the Classroom, and why do we have one here? Well to teach and learn of course! The community here has a lot of skills and knowledge to share, and there are lots here willing to soak it up like the sponges we are.

There is a handy FAQ that can be found in the pinned posts, as well as the information you would need to teach a class.

Currently there is one class actively running with two others just finishing up.

A Study of Talents with Dovienya Sedai had us diving down in to the theories and uses of the use of the One Power. Discussing and sorting them into categories to be studied further in depth. This was a challenge but one I thoroughly enjoyed.

Wiki Editing 101 with Kitan Sedai was an introductory class for learning how to use wiki code in conjunction with the Library that we have, as well as get the basics for all wiki editing and publishing. I found this class to be very fun and look forward to the next one!

The currently running class is Movie Class 2.0 With Aryawnah Sedai. Movie watching and discussion! What more can you want? So far this has been a great class, and the list of movies up for discussion is a treat unto itself. I find the discussions in here to be engaging and thoughtful and I am enjoying the class very much so far!
