Grolm

Grolm are one of the Seanchan exotics, taken from worlds accessed via the Portal Stones to fight Shadowspawn. They are large creatures, around three to five hundred pounds, the size of large bears, but resemble three eyed frogs. They are not particularly intelligent, but can be trained for battle, where their thick hide makes them very difficult to kill, though their eyes are a weak point (TGH, Ch. 16). They also have good vision and smell, which makes them excellent trackers and once they have the scent of a person, they will not stop (TGH, Ch. 17). They can be used as guard animals. In the wild, they are pack animals, though in captivity, they can turn on each other. As with many of the exotics, it is rare for more than one pup in a litter to reach maturity.
