As part of the community at TarValon.Net, people go through several levels before being raised to the senior member status of Gaidin or Aes Sedai. For a couple of these, namely from recruit/novice to soldier/Accepted and from soldier/Accepted to Gaidin/Aes Sedai, there is a test the person must pass in order to progress.
