The women felt like sisters. I felt at home among them.

It was a choice between Red and Yellow.  What made me decide was meeting Valasia and Masayna in real life at the 2nd Anni party. I clicked with them in a way that I didn't click with the Yellows.  I've stayed Red because I love my ajah. Through all the changes of the site, I've seen us grow and evolve into a group that I'm still proud of, 9 years later.

*;Are you like the Red in the Books? Do you dislike men? Are you a driven woman with her own goals in life?
Some parts. I don't hate men at all, but when I joined I was more comfortable around women. I'm independent like the Reds in the books, and when there's a job to do, I'm not afraid to put all of myself into it and get it done.

Yes! I hate men! I want nothing to do with them. Except my husband. And all the guys I hang out with at real life events. And the ones who give me compliments.<br>

The Reds in the books protect the world from men who can channel.  Of course, channelling doesn't exist in our world.  But I'll protect those in my world--my family (blood and chosen) and friends.  I'll stand up for them, even during times I dislike them (let's face it, we all have squabbles with our friends and family).  I'll do what it takes to help them.

;How long have you been a member of TarValon.Net?

Since spring 2002.

Oh, Elaida. The Red I love to hate. I don't agree with a lot of what Elaida does or her reasons for doing so, but I have to admire her for sticking to her guns and pressing forward with what she believes is right.

;Should we be scared because you're Red?
+
*;How long have you been a fan of the Wheel of Time series?
Absolutely. I am Red, and I have sharp teeth.
+
My senior year of high school. Ten years, now.

;How did you get to read the series?
+
*;How did you first get into the series?
Some friends of mine in high school were reading it, and I tried to read the first book but it was so boring and I hated it. They convinced me it got better, so I got to the Trolloc attack and the rest is history.
+
Some of my friends at school were discussing the books, and I was all, "Wha?" I bought Eye of the World at a used book store and tried reading it, but couldn't get past the first chapter. They convinced me to keep reading, that it got better, so I trusted them and pushed through.

;If Reds could have bonded, do you think you would have?
+
*;Who is your favorite "hero"?
It's a possibility.
+
Egwene is totally kick-ass in later books. Mat is fun all the way through.

;Have you ever attended any real life functions? Did you like them if you did, and why? (Why do you think people should come to any future functions?)
+
*;Favorite bad guy/gal?
Oh yes. I love them. Functions used to be my big socialization of the year; they provided me with a way to be around people I liked & who had similar interests in me and not be judged. Now, the functions are a place where I can be wholly myself and I can spend time with my friends. I absolutely encourage people to come to events because it helps to understand a person's online persona by meeting them in person.
+
I like Halima.

;What are your favorite movies?
+
*;Favorite book and scene?
Boondock Saints, L.A. Story, The Truman Show, Disney's Robin Hood, Shopgirl, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. I love movies.
+
Several favorite scenes. I love the first-sister ceremony between Elayne and Aviendha. I love the scene where Egwene's in the Tower and all of the novices rise for her. When Perrin's making the Power-wrought hammer.

;What is the craziest/stupidest thing you've ever done?
+
*;If you were set down in Randland, who/what would you see yourself as? An Aes Sedai? Innkeeper? Seanchan Captain?
I once drove about 7 hours to meet a bunch of people from the internet. (That was 2nd Anni in Tennessee.)
+
I'd want to be an Aes Sedai, probably of the Green ajah, but realistically, I'd probably be a peasant.

;What job do you have?
+
*;What do you do in "real life"?
I edit websites.
+
Currently, I edit websites.

;Do you have a pet?
+
*;Do you have any hobbies?
I have 2 cats.
+
I sew and knit.

;What languages do you speak?
+
*;What are some of your favorite movies / television shows?
English. And I can read a bit of Latin.
+
Project Runway, America's Next Top Model, the Top Chef shows.

;Elaida or Pevara?
+
*;Aside from The Wheel of Time, what are a few of your favorite books/series?
Both have their good points. Elaida hates men and hates Rand and wants to control him, but she has a devotion to what she thinks is right. Pevara also has that devotion, and is a little less prejudiced against men. I guess I'd have to go with Pevara.
+
The Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver; World War Z by Max Brooks; It by Stephen King; Stephen King's Dark Tower series; J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series;

;Shadar Logoth or Manetheren?
+
*;What profession did you want to have when you were a kid?
Manetheren. I'm a Romantic at heart, and the story of Manetheren is pure high Romance.
+
Meh, I flopped a lot. Teacher, doctor, lawyer, botanist.

;Roses or Lilies?

Roses, ick. Give me lilies. Irises are even better.

;Dogs or cats?

Cats all the way.

;A short bio about yourself.

I grew up in south-central Missouri in a small town. I graduated high school in 2001, and I went to college in another small town in north-central Arkansas. I graduated there in 2005, and I proceeded to move to Kansas City, where I attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City to earn my Master's in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing/poetry. I have 2 older sisters and an older brother, all of whom live in other states, and a younger brother (married, with kids) and a younger sister. I now live in Atlanta and have a wonderful job editing websites. In what little spare time I have, I like to read, sew clothing, and knit.
