The Amyrlin Seat

Characters: Siuan, Verin, Leane.
Setting: The White Tower
Point of view: Siuan
Siuan Sanche, the Amyrlin Seat, is very impatient to hear from Moiraine. Even though it will be considered improper, she tells Leane, the Keeper of the Chronicles, to let Verin in immediately when Leane tells her Verin is waiting for an audience with the Amyrlin. Siuan tells Leane she doesn't have to be present when the Amyrlin talk to Verin, which is also very unusual.
Verin is lead in by the Keeper. She hardly knows where to start but quickly tells the Amyrlin that Rand has proclaimed himself the Dragon Reborn. Siuan has expected as much.
