Therin Lugay is a man from Mardecin in Amadicia. He checks on Ronde and Luci, as he is supposed to be going to Tar Valon for Ronde, but finds them unconscious. The previous year, she had cured him of a fever that killed 23 people. He is married, but finds his wife a nag and her mother a shrew.
Since he is unable to take Elayne and Nynaeve to Tar Valon as he was supposed to, he thinks he might travel and visit Altara or Murandy.
