Tolmeran is a High Lord of Tear. He is lean with a pointed, iron-gray beard (LoC, Ch. 4).
Rand regards Tolmeran as brave and no fool (LoC, Ch. 4).
Timeline
- Tolmeran is among the nobles Rand meets on the Plains of Maredo, close to the border of Tear, where they discuss Sammael's defenses in Illian (LoC, Ch. 4).
- Rand takes him along to the meeting with one band of soldiers loyal to "Lord Brend"/Sammael (TPoD, Ch. 13).
- Tolmeran, Gregorin, Semaradrid, Weiramon and Rosana arrive with the news that the men nearby acquiesced, just to find Rand laughing very hard - what they cannot know is that Lews Therin has come back after having disappeared from Rand's head (TPoD, Ch. 14).
- Rand sends him to the south of Illian to keep peace (TPoD, Ch. 21).
- Bera tells Rand that Tolmeran and the other High Lords and Ladies are traveling for Tear, disobeying their orders to stay in Illian. Rand bursts at the news and orders them to return, or else they will be hanged (KoD, Ch. 21).
