Overview
The Welcome Committee is a Staff position under the Department of Membership and is responsible for helping new members adjust to TarValon.Net. The duties of the committee include welcoming new members, answering questions new members may have about the community, including on Tower Bylaws or Member Manuals, and moderating the Introductions forum.
It is a rotating position, with the rotation period officially being every 6 months. It is open to members of any rank.
Chain of Command
The Welcome Committee reports directly to the Mayor.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Spend approximately 5-10 hours a week welcoming new members, answering their questions, and generally being available for them.
- Help with special activities and Feast Day events, for example altering avatars.
Requirements
- May be of any rank.
- Must have been a member in good standing for three months.
- Muust have a good knowledge of the Membership Manual, our Bylaws, and how our community generally works, specifically pertaining to Citizens.
- Muust know where to find answers to questions that new members may have.
- Muust have a love and excitement for helping our newest members find their way around TarValon.Net.
