Chapter Icon: The Lion of Andor

Points of View: Siuan, Perrin, Gawyn

Nynaeve takes the Three Oaths.

Siuan's Point of View:

Setting: The White Tower

Characters: Egwene, Nynaeve, Siuan

Nynaeve takes the Three Oaths. She has told Egwene about the cleansing of saidin and everything else she saw while with Rand. Egwene condemns him for the forced bondings, and Nynaeve takes his side. Egwene has started showing some of the Aes Sedai something of Tel'aran'rhiod in preparation for a trap they are laying for Mesaana. Nynaeve offers to lead so that Egwene won't be putting herself in danger, but Egwene decides her knowledge of Tel'aran'rhiod is essential.

Perrin's Point of View:

Setting: Tel'aran'rhiod

Characters: Perrin, Hopper

Perrin continues to learn mastery of the Wolf Dream, entering and fighting nightmares. He refuses to accept one as real, and forces it to vanish.

Gawyn's Point of View:

Setting: The Royal Palace

Characters: Dimana, Elayne, Gawyn, Kaisea, Marille

Gawyn and Elayne are in the Rose March, talking. She gets him to admit that much of his hatred of Rand is simple jealousy and makes him accept it is selfish. He agrees to let it go. Marille and Dimana arrive and Marille recognises the Bloodknife. She can't tell him much about it, so they send for Kaisea who was previously of the Low Blood. She is able to tell them more details. A messenger arrives with a curt message from Silviana instructing Gawyn that he wasn't given permission to leave and he must return immediately. He gives the messenger the Bloodknife and instructs him to tell Egwene that the killer is a Seanchan assassin, not who they thought it was.
