General
Corevin was a Cairhienin Redarm in Shen en Calhar, the Band of the Red Hand. He was thickly muscled with a big nose and small eyes. He had tattoos of a leopard and a boar on one arm and a lion and a nude woman on the other.
He looked after Olver as if he were his uncle. Mat is sure that the boy picked up some of his bad habits from the Redarms.
He was the only one Mat knew who could drink Ebou Dari ale, not to mention in the unnatural heat.

Timeline
- When Mat, Nalesean, Vanin and the Aes Sedai left Salidar, a dozen Redarms, including Corevin, accompanied them (LoC, Ch. 44). Upon arriving at their destination, the Redarms stopped at The Wandering Woman, while the Aes Sedai moved to the Tarasin Palace (LoC, Ch. 47).
- He was injured in a fight with a fish-seller. Vanin bandaged Corevin's middle in the common room of The Wandering Woman, while Harnan berated him. When Mat returned from the Tarasin Palace, he knew he would not get to know the truth if he asked (ACoS, Ch. 17).
