General
Dairaine of House Saighan is a Cairhienin noblewoman. She is small and slender with wavy, waist-length black hair and a voice like crystal chimes (KoD, Ch. 28).
She was taken gai'shain by the Shaido and has to share a tent with Faile, Alliandre and Maighdin (KoD, Ch. 5).
Sevanna enjoys Dairaine's carrying tales about the other gai'shain and so the Cairhienin is "never chosen out as one of those who had failed to please" (KoD, Ch. 5; KoD, Ch. 28).
She enters her tent when Faile, Alliandre and Maighdin are about to flee and senses that they are up to something. She wants to report to Sevanna, but the other women bind her up and leave her with Bain and Chiad (KoD, Ch. 28).
