Moria Karentanis

General
Moria Karentanis is an Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah who is also a member of the Black Ajah. She sides with the rebel Aes Sedai and is elected Sitter for her Ajah. She is a very ordinary-looking Illianer and has worn the shawl more than one hundred and thirty years (TPoD, Ch. 19; CoT, Ch. 19).
Timeline
- She and the other Sitters raise Egwene to the Amyrlin Seat (LoC, Ch. 35).
- Siuan lays proposals from the Sitters before Egwene of how to solve their money issue. Moria suggests stopping the soldiers' pay (TPoD, Ch. 16).
- At the meeting with the Murandians and Andorans, Lord Donel is seen talking to her (TPoD, Ch. 18).
- When the Hall discusses the mater of declaring war on Elaida, Moria displays her anger about the other Sitter's reluctance quite openly, which is forbidden. She stands for the war (TPoD, Ch. 19).
- After hearing that Akarrin and her party have returned from Shadar Logoth, she immediately calls the Hall for a meeting (CoT, Ch. 18). Escaralde, Malind and Moria propose an alliance with the Black Tower, as it is the only way to expand their circles in case the Forsaken turn against them (CoT, Ch. 19).
- At a later Sitting, Lelaine asks her to bring in Merise Haindehl and Jahar Narishma. They lay Rand's offer of bonding Asha'man before the Hall. She has to ask Narishma several questions. She stands to accept the offer (KoD, Ch. 23).
- Egwene learns Moria is Black Ajah and instructs Siuan to have her watched (TGS, Ch. 39).
- When Egwene reveals there are Black Ajah in the camp, including the Hall, Moria tries to flee but is apprehended. She is quickly executed (TGS, Ch. 43).

"Frightened people do silly things, Mother, even Aes Sedai," she murmured, placing her hands on her knees, "but at least you can be sure Moria will be firm about Elaida, at least in the long run. She lays every sister who died after Siuan was deposed right at Elaida's feet. Moria wants Elaida birched for every single death before she goes to the headsman. A hard woman, harder than Lelaine in some ways. Tougher, anyway. She won't scruple at things that might make Lelaine balk. I'm very much afraid she will press for an assault on the city as soon as possible. If the Forsaken are moving so openly, on such a scale, then better a wounded Tower that's whole than a Tower divided. At least, I fear that's how Moria may see things. (...) "When you do be drowning," Moria replied, equally quiet, "you do grab at whatever branch floats by, even when you can no be sure it will support your weight until you have hold.
