General
Musenge is a Captain of the Deathwatch Guard and commander of Tuon's personal body-guard. He is cold, weathered and grizzled with unbroken black hair, despite his age, and eyes like polished stones. He is also described as stocky, stolid and built for endurance with a worn but hard face (CoT, Ch. 4; KoD, Ch. 34; Ch. 37).
He has a raven tattooed on his left shoulder, marking him as property of the Imperial family (KoD, Ch. 37).
Timeline
- He has been longer in the Deathwatch Guard than Furyk Karede (KoD, Ch. 3; Ch. 4).
- He journeys with Tuon to the Westlands on the Victory of Kidron (WH, Ch. 14).
- After Tuon has been kidnapped, Karede sends Ajimbura with a note to Musenge. They meet the following day. Musenge brings one hundred of the Deathwatch Guards, twenty of the Gardeners and Melitene with Mylen (CoT, Ch. 4).
- Musenge stays behind with the others of the Deathwatch Guard as Karede goes to meet with Gamel Loune. When he returns, they all ride northeast to the Malvide Narrows (KoD, Ch. 34).
