Well, we did it team, we’ve finally arrived at the end of the longest century of the longest day of the longest month of our lives. 2020 has been so timey-wimey that it feels like it was only March yesterday, and yet somehow it is New Year’s at the end of the week! Gracious. I am firmly in agreement with our very own Katarianna’s #coronavirustictoklessons that none of this year’s birthdays count toward our aging, which seems very appropriate for a site full of Aes Sedai. I really do think that getting to the end of the year healthy, and relatively happy, is an accomplishment in its own right. You should be proud of yourselves no matter what!
- Amyrlin Awards: In one of their last acts as outgoing Amyrlin Seat, Rhed al'Tere bestowed the following awards during our Discord Block Party: Philanthropist of the Year – Kyla Sterling; Volunteer of the Year – Vivianna L'antreau; Unsung Servant – Alenya Al'Roran; and Member of the Year – Elia LePhant.
- The Great Charity Hunt is in full swing. Membership groups have chosen their focus for the following year, and are working on their philanthropic plans. Each group will have their causes spotlighted during the Feast of Lights. Read more about the causes of Brown/MDD & Gray and VC & Yellow in the Tar Valon Times!
- Discord Block Party was ‘round the world fun, with games and chatting going on at all hours of the day.
- Pick your pronouns! If you haven’t yet done so, please take a moment to add your pronouns in your profile. Pronouns can be viewed in landscape mode on mobile devices.
- Given the state of the Covid-19 world we live in, we’ve got a new Merit for virtual events!
- The deadline for Demotions and Bond Dissolution has been extended to January 10th.
- And finally, much to my personal delight, we’ve officially got our very own TarValon.Net Bookstore!!! Buying from anywhere in the world is welcome, and portions of US based purchases support our site.

Our thoughts are with Team Jordan’s Wilson Grooms as he battles cancer. The family requests privacy at this time and is thankful for the community’s support.
Finally, we’d like to wrap up this summary by wishing our very own Mother, Serinia Edoras, the happiest of birthday months in this magical year where we do not age. We appreciate you, and all the others who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep this place up and running. Go Ohio sports ball!
