General
Carelle is an Aiel Wise One. She is pretty and freckle-faced with fiery red hair and piercing blue eyes (TPoD, Ch. 9).
Although she looks like she possesses a temper, she does not (TPoD, Ch. 9; KoD, Ch. 29).
She is contemptuous of Aes Sedai, especially those who captured Rand, but she treats those apprenticed to the Wise Ones no different than any Aiel apprentice (TPoD, Ch. 9).
Timeline
- She Travels with Perrin and his party to Ghealdan (ACoS, Ch. 27).
- When Perrin goes to the Wise Ones to talk to them about the Aes Sedai, they tell him Masema is a danger to Rand and must be killed (TPoD, Ch. 9).
- She accompanies Perrin when he goes to meet Masema (TPoD, Ch. 30).
- They return to the camp from the meeting with Masema (WH, Ch. 1).
- The Wise Ones shut themselves in their tents with Masuri and Seonid, probably plotting to kill Masema, Perrin thinks (WH, Ch. 2).
- She accompanies Berelain and the two Aes Sedai to where the Darkhound tracks have been found (CoT, Ch. 6).
- She and the other Wise Ones allow Masuri to inspect the tracks (CoT, Ch. 7).
- When Masema regrets that Perrin will not let the Seanchan leash all of the Shaido "savages", she feels affronted (KoD, Ch. 29).
Quotes
"She also wishes to fit you for a halter, Perrin Aybara," Carelle added, even more casually. "She thinks you must be bound also, to make you safe." (Carelle to Perrin about Masuri; The Path of Daggers, Chapter 9)
